Update on the problems with our library system

Monday, January 25th, 2010

A message from University of Lincoln ICT services about the ongoing lack of access to the library catalogue and issue/return of books:

An engineer is due on-site this afternoon at which time we will have a better understanding of when the system can be returned to normal service. However, at this time we do not expect the system to be back on line before 6:00 pm this evening at the earliest.

Once again ICT  apologise for the inconvenience to staff and students and we will, of course, keep you updated on progress.

E-books, e-journals and databases can still be accessed via the University Portal while the library catalogue is unavailable.

Interruption to library / I.T. services this Sunday (24th)

Wednesday, January 20th, 2010

Apologies in advance – there is going to be some unavoidable disruption to certain library services this Sunday, 24th January 2010, as a result of essential maintenance work by University estates / ICT services.

Between 06.30 – 14.30 on Sunday, networked services will be unavailable. This will affect on- and off-campus access to the library catalogue, e-resources via the Portal, and RefWorks.

Our three centres will open as usual at 12.00 noon on Sunday for reading and reference access, however please be aware that PC / Internet access, borrowing & return of books, printing / photocopying, and networked services will not be available until 13.00 (1pm) at the earliest, and potentially not until 14.30.

Our apologies again for any inconveniences caused.
