Interruption to Internet connection – 21st April

Friday, April 17th, 2009

An urgent message from ICT services:

Will all staff please be aware that there may be a brief interruption to the university’s Internet connection at lunchtime on Tuesday 21st April.

Our Internet provider is required to perform a resilience test during peak hours once a year.  If the network pathway tests perform in the correct manner you should see no interruption to service.  If, however, things do not go as planned the Internet may be unavailable for a few minutes whilst they return the service to normal.

Please do not call the Service Desk as ICT Services will be aware and will be monitoring the situation.

Thank you
