Library system unavailable

Unfortunately, the library system is still out of service following yesterday’s maintenance work.  As a result the library catalogue and self-service machines are not in operation.

Essential issues and returns can be processed at the library desk.  We hope that normal service will resume in a few hours time.

Library catalogue: interruption to service

Our apologies that our library catalogue is currently unavailable.

You may see the following error:

HTTP ERROR: 404 /ipac20/ipac.jsp Not Found

RequestURI=/ipac20/ipac.jsp

The problem has been caused by power interruptions at the Brayford Pool Campus. We are working to resolve the situation and will let you know as soon as access to the catalogue has been restored.

In the meantime, please contact your local centre, where Library & Learning Resources staff will be happy to help you to locate any items in our collections.

Library catalogue unavailability on Friday evening

The online library catalogue will be unavailable for a period of about 10-15 minutes from 5pm on Friday 9th October whilst a technical problem is fixed. We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause.

ScienceDirect unavailable this Saturday

The ScienceDirect database will be unavailable for approximately 13 hours from 12.00 noon Saturday, 19th September to 01.00 am Sunday, 20th September, to allow for scheduled maintenance.

Printing problem

An urgent message from University of Lincoln ICT services:

Would staff please be aware that there has been a hardware failure that has impacted on the ability to print. We are presently in contact with our external third party maintenance company and are waiting on a solution. At the moment there is no time frame for the resumption of this service.

Disruption to ICT services: Sunday 30th August

An urgent message from University ICT services:

Due to essential Estates maintenance, the power to the north side of the campus will be shutdown on Sunday 30th August. This will impact on IT service delivery to the Brayford Campus and remote sites. Both computer and telephone services will be unavailable during the period between 7am and 12 noon and a limited service on Campus from 12 noon until 3pm on this day.

No phone services to GCW University Library

An urgent message from University of Lincoln ICT services:

please be aware that the phone service to the Engine Shed, GCW and Spark House has failed. Our provider for this service has been informed and are engaged in the repair this morning. As yet we have no confirmed time for completion of this work

Blackboard shutdown 24th-26th August

A message from Howard Stevenson of CERD:

 Please note that the Blackboard VLE will not be available during the period of 24-26 August. This is to allow ICT staff to carry out essential maintenance work in preparation for the new academic year.

We hope this essential maintenance causes minimal disruption.

Normal service will resume on 27 August, or earlier if scheduled work is completed sooner than anticipated.

GCW Library CLOSED Saturday 20th June

Please note that the GCW University Library will be CLOSED on Saturday 20th June 2009.

There will be no power to the library building on that day, to allow work to be undertaken on connecting a power supply to the new Enterprise@Lincoln building.

  • Temporary open-access I.T. facilities will be available in Newsroom 4 (first floor, MHAC building) on the day.

The LRCs at the other campuses are not affected.
